Hello there!

My name is Marin Lau, and I'm a current undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying data science, concentrating in applied mathematics and modelling. I enjoy creating innovative design solutions, learning complex math concepts, and collaborating with others.

Outside of work, I enjoy volleyball, snowboarding, anime and matcha-tasting! I’m can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and English, and I love travelling :)

Over my college career, I became proficient in Python, Java and SQL. I’m also familiar with using Figma and AdobeXD for design work. I’m always looking for new opportunities to design, create, and contribute. Some industries I’m highly interested in are:

• Data visualization and designing client solutions in the consulting industry

• Software engineering and UI/UX design for digital products

• Development of maps, characters and skins in the video game industry

• Computational modeling and VR simulation development
